Beach Love

B came home from work yesterday needing to drop his new uniforms by a dry cleaner to get them pressed. A quick google search showed us one not too far away, so off we headed. After we left, we were sitting at the light to turn toward home when we decided to go to the beach instead.

The beach is only about three miles from us and I have a feeling we’ll be spending many days down there. They just reopened for the year and it was fun to be some of the first people out on the water.

We stuck our feet into the Pacific, which was warmer than I expected. It was my first time being in the Pacific Ocean and I was a little nostalgic at it. I kept telling B that this was why we moved here. And, it’s true. I love the ocean and have always wanted to live near it. And now we do.

About texancountess

I find myself in the calming roar of the sea, floating gently on the foam of the breaking waves. Blue. Green. Gray. The colors of the sea mark the boundaries of my soul. The tumbled glass finds its polish under the relentless pounding of the waves upon the shore. Thus am I. Rough transitioning to polish, refinement ever a process, finding my niche in the storms of life.
