If you were involved with a person, in a way where you were currently separated by distance and you wanted more and they only promised “we’ll see what happens;” would you want to know?

If you were committed to them, exclusive to them in spite of no formal commitment or talk of exclusivity, would you want to know?

If you were envisioning a future together once you were able to move to where they lived, a date not too far in the future, would you want to know?

Would you want to be told that this person you were seeing, had just seen two weeks ago, was also seeing someone else where they lived? Would you want to be informed that this person you were seeing really only saw you as a “best of limited options choice” and that now that there were more options you weren’t it anymore?

Where is the line in this life?

But if someone knew that a person you had a “let’s see what happens when we’re living in the same place again in three months” type of thing going on, where you wanted the commitment, where you were putting the money into flying up to see them, and they reaped the reward, if someone knew that person was already moving on, had already found the next best thing…would you want to know?

About texancountess

I find myself in the calming roar of the sea, floating gently on the foam of the breaking waves. Blue. Green. Gray. The colors of the sea mark the boundaries of my soul. The tumbled glass finds its polish under the relentless pounding of the waves upon the shore. Thus am I. Rough transitioning to polish, refinement ever a process, finding my niche in the storms of life.
